Leopard Terror In Balrampur, Kills Another Goat For The Second Consecutive Day

Samvad Sutra, Tulsipur (Balrampur). In village Bhangahi of Janakpur range of Sohelwa Wildlife Division, the leopard made a bite of a goat for the second day. Bhangahi resident Uttam told that the goats were tied in the cattle shed at four o'clock on Friday morning. Suddenly he woke up after hearing the barking of dogs and saw that the leopard had caught the goat and was going into the sugarcane field.

Villagers Anil Kumar, Nandkumar, Sunil, Alkharam, old people etc. chased him away by shouting and the leopard ran towards the forest. At some distance, the remains of the goat were found in the sugarcane field.

Forest Range Officer Janakpur Amarjit Prasad said that the Forest Department team is monitoring and searching for the leopard. Villagers are being alerted. Villagers should not leave their homes alone at night, stay in groups, carry torches with them at night, guard the fields by staying in groups.
