The rakes of Train No. 14241/14242 Nauchandi Express running between Saharanpur to Prayagraj Sangam via the district will be upgraded and operated with modern LHB (Link Halfman Busch) coaches.
This system was implemented from January 15, 2026. The operation of LHB coaches will provide more safe, comfortable and convenient travel to the passengers. LHB coaches are made of stainless steel. Anti-telescopic technology has been used in these, which reduces the risk of loss of life and property in case of an accident.
These coaches are capable of running at speeds up to 160 kilometers per hour. Due to better suspension system, shocks will be felt less in the coaches. Large windows, better ventilation and modern interiors in these coaches further improve the comfort of passengers.
LHB coaches being lighter have higher carrying capacity and also have a longer life than conventional ICF coaches, thereby reducing maintenance costs. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Kuldeep Tiwari said that with the inclusion of LHB coaches, passengers will get high level facilities in Nauchandi Express.
