Life Disrupted Due To Severe Cold In Amethi, No Sunlight; Cold Wave Outbreak Continues

Samvad Sutra, Jais (Amethi). For the last one week, life has been disrupted due to cold wave and severe cold. Sun God could not be seen at many places in the district till Wednesday evening. Due to which the weather became colder in the evening. People remained confined to their homes the whole day or were seen going out and enjoying the bonfire. Shops open daily in the city market, but there was a dearth of customers at the shops.

Shopkeepers Afaq Ansari, Munna, Ansari, Aziz, Romil Jain, Poonam Maurya, Mukesh told that customers are coming to the weekly market only in the afternoon on Tuesday and Saturday. There is silence in the market during free days. People are seen shopping at shops for warm clothes. Due to cold wave and severe cold, animals are also confined to their homes. Due to which, sycamore leaves etc. are being sold in abundance on the roadside.

The municipal administration is making arrangements for bonfires in public places. At the same time, social worker Advocate Baba is also making arrangements for bonfire at religious places. With increasing melting, consumption of wood and coal is also increasing. There is high demand for acacia wood and coal. People are also buying saw machine parts. Due to which they are arranging fire in the houses also. The municipal administration has arranged a night shelter for the pedestrians at the Malik Mohammad Jayasi Research Institute located on Kotwali Road.
