Railways has decided that the country's fittest and best engines will be installed in every train coming to Prayagraj, so that the journey of the devotees can be completed without any technical hindrance. Employees will also come from neighboring zones of NCR to run these trains.
Railway Board directs zonal headquarters
Magh Mela 2026 It is often seen that the engines of trains need regular checking after traveling long distances. During Magh Mela, there is so much pressure at the stations of Prayagraj that it becomes difficult to find time for checking the engines. To deal with this challenge, the Railway Board has issued orders to all the zonal headquarters.
Engine does not need rest or repair after reaching Prayagraj
Magh Mela 2026 Now only those engines will be added to the trains coming towards North Central Railway, whose servicing has already been completed. That is, after reaching Prayagraj, the engine will not need 'rest or repair' and it will immediately be ready to leave again with another train.
Special trains will also run on demand
Magh Mela 2026: 105 MEMU trains will run during Magh Mela. A proposal for five ring rails and 10 clone trains is also ready. Apart from this, special trains will also run on demand. North Central Railway has joined hands with neighboring zones to run additional MEMU and special trains.
Team of experienced loco pilots being called
A large team of experienced loco pilots and assistant loco pilots from East Central Railway (ECR), Northern Railway (NR), North Eastern Railway (NER) and West Central Railway (WCR) are being called to Prayagraj. These will be those employees who have been specially selected for this responsibility only after knowledge of the routes and psycho test.
Passengers will not face any problem in traveling by train.
It is expected that Railways' 'Plan-2026' will prove to be very effective in managing the crowd worth crores that will gather in Prayagraj. Having a technically sound engine will eliminate the possibility of failure on the way, while having additional staff will not delay the operation of trains. CPRO Shashikant Tripathi of North Central Railway said that this arrangement is being made for the convenience of the passengers so that the passengers do not face any problem in traveling by train.
