Jagran correspondent, Hapur. Mahindra company's electronic car suddenly caught fire near Kurana toll plaza of NH-334 in Hafizpur police station area. Within no time the fire spread to the entire car, causing smoke and flames to rise from the car. In such a situation, there was chaos on the highway. It was fortunate that the car rider got out of the car in time and saved his life. The fire department team reached the spot on receiving information and controlled the fire with great efforts.
Aman Kharbanda, a resident of Sayana base of Kotwali village of Bulandshahr district in Bulandshahr district, was coming to Hapur from Bulandshahr for some work in his electric car on Sunday. As soon as he reached Kurana Toll Plaza in Hafizpur police station area, suddenly smoke started coming out of his car and within a few moments the car started bursting into flames.
As soon as the fire broke out, Aman Kharbanda quickly came out of the car and protected himself. Within some time the car was completely engulfed in fire. There was chaos on the highway due to the car catching fire. Drivers passing by stopped their vehicles and immediately informed the police and fire department.
On information, station in-charge Praveen Kumar reached the spot with the police team. The fire department team also reached the spot. He worked hard to control the fire in the car. By the time the fire could be controlled, the tax was completely burnt.
Police station in-charge Praveen Kumar said that preliminary investigation has been done and it is believed that the fire in the vehicle was caused by a short circuit. However, the reason why the car caught fire is being investigated keeping in mind all the points.
