Massive Fire In Kupwara: Three Houses And Cow Shed Reduced To Ashes, Four Cattle Killed

State Bureau, Srinagar. A massive fire broke out in Kandi Karnah area of ​​North Kashmir's Kupwara district on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, destroying three residential houses and a cow shed. Officials said the burnt houses belonged to Khalid Ahmed Qureshi, Danish Ahmed Qureshi and Farooq Ahmed Qureshi, all residents of Kandi Karnah.

He said that a cow shed of Danish Ahmed Qureshi was also burnt in the fire due to which four cattle died. Fire brigade vehicles from Tangdhar brought the fire under control with the help of police, army personnel and local people. Officials said the cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit and further assessment of the damage is being done.

A fire broke out in the Dachigam forest area of ​​Srinagar. Officials said that as soon as the information was received, fire tenders and forest department officials reached the spot and efforts were on to control the fire. The cause of the fire could not be immediately known.
