Jagran correspondent, Modipuram (Meerut). The police have sent the accused to jail for raping on the pretext of marriage. It is alleged that the young man had a relationship with a nurse working in the hospital in the name of marriage and then refused. Frustrated, the girl lodged a case at Kankarkheda police station, after which the accused was arrested and sent to jail in judicial custody.

The girl, resident of Jansath area in Muzaffarnagar, works as a nurse in the hospital of Jani area. The nurse became friends with Ashu, a resident of Pallavapuram, in the year 2023. Both of them swore to stay together for the rest of their lives.

The nurse told in her statement to the police that Ashu is doing a BPharm course. Ashu had a relationship with her in the name of marriage. When both of them got married in a temple, the nurse proposed Ashu to have a court marriage and get married in front of everyone. But, he started dodging.

Meanwhile, Ashu gave a written written statement to the nurse on stamp paper that he would marry within six months and one year, but even after that he did not marry. A few days ago, when the nurse talked about getting married, there was a fight between the two, in which there was a fight between the two.

It is alleged that the accused Ashu refused to marry. After which the nurse reached Kankarkheda police station and told the police that the accused had taken her to a hotel and raped her on the pretext of marrying her. Town outpost in-charge of Kankarkheda police station, Vineet Kumar said that after registering the case, the police arrested the accused and sent him to jail in judicial custody.
