Jagran correspondent, Meerut. A BPharma student who had come to Dewan Institute to appear for the examination was arrested after a pistol was recovered. He said that there was a dispute going on with the students regarding supremacy. He feared that he might be attacked in the examination centre. During police checking, the student had hidden the pistol inside the car parked in the parking lot of Dewan College. Police recovered the pistol during checking.
Vikas Tyagi, resident of Kharkhoda area, is studying BPharma from NK Vihar College located at Phaphunda Road. He also works in a private company in Uttarakhand. On Monday, Vikas came to Dewan Institute located on Delhi Highway to appear for the BPharma exam.
Meanwhile, some college students informed the police. It was told that Vikas had brought a pistol with him. Police immediately reached the spot. As soon as he saw the police, Vikas hid the pistol in his car. His car was parked in the parking lot of Dewan College. Police recovered the pistol during the search of the car.

SO Ajay Shukla told that Vikas had said that his rivalry was going on due to factionalism in the college. He had brought the pistol for his own safety. Where did he buy this pistol from? Detailed information about this is also being collected.
SP City Ayush Vikram Singh said that the student has been arrested with a pistol. Information is also being collected about the person who sold the pistol to the student. In this regard, despite efforts, the spokesperson of Dewan Institute, Yalish Hashmi could not be contacted.
