Cylinder explodes inside tin shed in Mohkampur, family saved
Meerut: A gas cylinder exploded while cooking inside a tin shed in Mohkampur of Tipinagar police station area. It is fortunate that there were no casualties in the accident. As soon as the cylinder caught fire, Tilak Ram and his family members came out of the house and saved their lives. After this, a fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the fire.
Wheels of train engine jammed after colliding with bull, major accident averted
Baghpat: Due to fog, the engine of the passenger train got jammed after colliding with a bull at the station itself. It was fortunate that the speed of the train was very low at that time, otherwise a major accident could have happened. A team of engineers from Delhi reached the spot and repaired the engine. After about two and a half hours the train left for the destination.
The passengers had to face a lot of trouble. When the passenger train (number 64028) going from Saharanpur to Delhi reached near Baghpat Road station on the Delhi-Shamli-Saharanpur railway route on Thursday night at around 10.30 pm, it collided with a bull roaming on the track. Due to this the train engine got jammed. The station staff informed the concerned railway officials about the incident. Railway officials and employees from Delhi reached the spot and the remains of the bull were removed from the engine and the engine was repaired.
Bike collides with tree due to rope stuck around neck, youth dies
Baghpat: While plucking a dry tree near village Palda on Barnawa road, the rope broke and got stuck around the neck of a youth riding a bike, the youth collided with the tree along with the bike. The police sent the injured youth to Binauli CHC, where doctors declared him dead. The youth was Sompal, son of Nitesh of village Tanda Majra of Muzaffarnagar district. CBI officer says robbery worth Rs 10 lakh in furniture dealer's house
Bulandshahr: Miscreants, posing as CBI officers, committed robbery worth around Rs 10 lakh in the house of a furniture dealer in broad daylight. Five armed criminals took away Rs 5 lakh and jewelery worth Rs 5 lakh. Police is searching for the miscreants. Shankar Bhagwan, resident of Mohalla Pokhar of Anupshahar, is a furniture businessman. Shankar Bhagwan's son Abhishek left the house at around 8:30 am on Friday morning to open the shop. Lord Shankar, wife Sadhna, daughter-in-law Kanika and two grandchildren were present in the house. Then five people reached the house and knocked on the door of the house, claiming to be CBI officers. When the door of the relative's house was opened, all five entered inside the house. After this, the five took everyone hostage at gunpoint. The miscreants fled after committing the robbery.
Life imprisonment to brother and sister guilty of raping a teenage girl
Muzaffarnagar: Additional District and Sessions Court, POCSO Act Court has sentenced in a rape case of Mansoorpur police station area. POCSO Court-2 judge Divya Bhargava has imposed rigorous life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 25,000 on Hasan Choudhary son Ayub and his sister Shakeela wife Rashid, who were found guilty of raping a teenage girl by holding them hostage. Teenager used to steal from liquor shop with father, both caught
Muzaffarnagar: A 12-year-old boy and his father, who stole from liquor shops along with his father, have been caught by the city police. Father and son used to go together and steal. Woman attempts self-immolation by pouring petrol outside Chakbandi court
Shamli: Sangeeta, resident of village Sunna, reached Shamli Collectorate with a bottle filled with petrol in a bag and poured petrol on herself outside the Chakbandi Court. Police reached the spot and stopped the woman from committing suicide.
