Jagran correspondent, Unnao. Rail traffic will be affected from April 2 to May 13 due to the repair of the railway bridge built on the Shuklaganj Ganga river between Kanpur-Unnao. Railways has canceled 14 trains during the 42 day mega block. The route of 31 trains and timing of 10 have also been changed. In such a situation, roadways have started preparations.
Due to this, people traveling by train may have to face problems. In view of this, the Transport Corporation has talked about increasing 12 buses between Kanpur-Lucknow. As the number of passengers increases, the frequency of buses will be increased. It is known that 20 buses are being operated between Unnao-Lucknow. With the increase of 12 buses, it will become 32. This will provide relief to the passengers.
The track repair work on the British era Railway Ganga bridge located in Shuklaganj will be started by the Railways from April 2. A total block of eight hours will be taken every day from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm on the Railway Down Line (Kanpur to Lucknow). The work of installing steel sleepers (H beam type sleepers) will be done on this line. Therefore, Railways has canceled 14 trains.
Changes have been made in the routes of 31 trains and timings of 10. This will cause problems to people traveling in other cities including Kanpur-Lucknow. But the Transport Corporation has already made preparations so that people do not face any problem in transportation during the mega block. The Transport Corporation will increase 12 buses on the Kanpur-Lucknow route during the mega block. Apart from this, the frequency of buses operating on routes like Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Barabanki, Delhi, Hardoi, Purvanchal etc. will be increased. So that the passengers do not face any problem in transportation.
