State Bureau, Shimla. Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission has declared the final result of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HAS) Competitive Examination-2025. Megha Singh Kanwar of Rajgarh in Sirmaur district has become the topper. Megha has been selected for the only HAS post under general category.

On the basis of preliminary examination, main examination and interview (personality test), the Commission has recommended 30 candidates out of 35 posts for various services, while five posts remain vacant. Eligible candidates have not been found for this. Of these, one HAS, two HPS, eight BDOs, nine Tehsildars, two District Controllers and eight Assistant Commissioners have been selected.

State Public Service Commission Chairman Rameshwar Singh Thakur said that this is the first time that in less than a year the results of the examination have been declared. Earlier it used to take two to three years to get the results. According to the notification issued by the Commission, the selection has been done on the basis of merit order and the appointment of the candidates will be subject to document verification. 15 candidates have been selected under general category.

Megha Singh Kanwar of Khanivad village of Dhanech Manav Panchayat of Rajgarh sub-division has topped the HAS exam in her third attempt. Megha has already given the HAS exam in the year 2023 and 2024.

Megha did not lose courage and continued preparing to reach her destination. Passed the Allied examination in March 2025, but here too luck was not on his side in the end. Megha took the HAS exam for the third time in June 2025. In the examination results declared late on Tuesday evening, he topped Himachal. Megha is the daughter of gardener Narendra Thakur. Brother Karan Kanwar is working as a constable, while mother Anita Thakur is a housewife. Megha did her primary education from a local school. Got selected for Jawaharlal Nehru Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nahan in sixth class. After passing 12th examination from Navodaya School, Dr. YS Parmar did B.Sc and M.Sc in Forestry from Forestry and Horticulture University, Nauni. Megha is a gold medalist in MSc. Megha has given the credit of her success to her parents and teachers.
