Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Math Land Purchase Case: Administrative investigation has been completed in the case of purchase of Shri Ramjanaki Math land by former RJD MLA Amar Paswan of Bochahan.
Additional Collector Kumar Prashant has submitted a report in this regard to District Magistrate Subrata Kumar Sen. The mutation application of the former MLA has been rejected due to lack of evidence.
According to the administrative report, in the year 2024, Amar Paswan had purchased 12 decimal (about three katha) land of Shri Ramjanaki Math located in Fateharpur Mauza of Mushahari area for Rs 45 lakh. This land was said to be registered in the name of Math's servant Vishwanath Mishra and was purchased from Amarnath Mishra alias Tarakeshwar Mishra.
Evidence sought after objection
An application was made to the Mushahari zonal office for registration and rejection of the land, but an objection was lodged that the land is the property of the Math and is registered in the name of Sevait. Necessary evidence was asked to be presented to resolve the objection, which was not provided. Due to this, Circle Officer Mahendra Kumar Shukla rejected the filed-dismissal application.
Former MLA Amar Paswan had said that he was cheated in this case and alleged that the wrong land was sold after taking money.
Increased monitoring of transactions
Another application regarding registration and rejection of the said land was received in the Mushahari zonal office, which this time was returned to the applicant. It is also feared at the administrative level that attempts are being made to buy and sell the Math's land, which is being closely monitored.
The administration has made it clear that in cases related to the land of monasteries or religious institutions, no filing or rejection will be accepted without valid evidence and legal process.
