Sadar MLA Dr. Manoj Prajapati performing Bhoomi Pujan in the Sports Stadium complex
Jagran correspondent, Hamirpur. A big initiative has been taken towards providing modern facilities to the players in the sports stadium complex of the district. Approval has been received from the government for the construction of a new gym hall, pavilion, judo hall as well as renovation of the badminton hall in the stadium.
This hall will be built at a cost of approximately Rs 7.64 crore. Sadar MLA Dr. Manoj Prajapati started the work by performing Bhoomi Pujan.
District Sports Officer Brajesh Soni said that the hall previously available for players in the sports stadium was in a dilapidated condition. Due to which difficulties had to be faced in organizing practices and competitions. Keeping this in mind, a proposal for construction of new halls and renovation of old halls was sent to the government. Which has been accepted by the government.
Approving the proposal sent by the executive body UP CIDCO, the government has released about Rs 3 crore 81 lakh as the first installment. After the release of the budget, the construction work was started.
The new gym hall will provide modern training facilities to the players, while the construction of Judo and Badminton halls will provide a better environment for players of various sports to practice. The construction of the pavilion will also provide facilities to players and spectators during competitions.
Sadar MLA Dr. Manoj Prajapati inaugurated the work by performing Bhoomi Pujan. Expressing happiness over this initiative, the players said that the construction of new halls will greatly help the players of the district in preparing for national and state level competitions. Chairman Kuldeep Nishad, project manager Rajesh Chaudhary and stadium players were present on this occasion.
