Communication Assistant, Saraiya (Muzaffarpur). On Tuesday morning, a bike-riding youth misbehaved with Digambar Jain monk Vishalyasagar Ji Maharaj on NH-722 near Gopinathpur Dokda in Saraiya police station area. As soon as the information was received, the police arrived immediately, but the accused managed to escape.

According to the information, the Jain monk was moving from Dokda during his stay in Bihar, when suddenly a young man arrived and started misbehaving with the monk and abusing him. The young man said in a threatening tone, 'Come wearing clothes, otherwise my friends will also make you wear clothes.'

Muniraj and the devotees accompanying him became frightened by this unexpected threat and abusive language. After this, Muniraj immediately informed Saraiya police. As soon as the information was received, on the orders of the police station head, Inspector Nadiya Naz reached the spot with the police force. However the accused had fled. The police formed a security cordon and safely escorted Jain Muni to the border of Saraiya police station area.

It is said that the Jain monk, after attending the program organized in the ancient Jain temple of Vaishali, stayed in Dokda on Monday night and was leaving for Mithilapur via Sitamarhi on Tuesday morning. After this incident, Muniraj remained sitting there in meditation for some time.

There is huge anger among the people of Jain community regarding this attempted attack. The Jain community has requested the senior police officers to provide proper security to Muni Shri till his destination during his stay in Bihar. Police is busy investigating the matter.
