Tragic Accident In Balrampur: Uncle And Nephew Standing On The Roadside Were Crushed By An Unknown Vehicle, Died On The Spot.

The priest and his nephew, who had gone to give the book of Bhagwat Katha to their father, were crushed by an unknown truck in front of Devlaha village on Friday night. In the accident, 40 year old Sunil Mani Tripathi (uncle) and 35 year old Nitin Kumar Pandey (nephew), a priest resident of Khalwa Mohalla of the city, died on the spot. The driver absconded after the accident. Police are searching for the vehicle that caused the accident.

Govardhan Das Maharaj alias Devmani Tripathi, resident of Khalwa Mohalla, had gone to Sambhar Singh Bhadauria, resident of Devlaha village of Gaura Chauraha, to preach Shrimad Bhagwat Katha. He had forgotten a religious book at home. He called and ordered the book from his son Sunil Mani Tripathi.

To give the book to his father, Sunil Mani Tripathi also took along his nephew Nitin Kumar Pandey, who lives in the same locality. Uncle and nephew reached Devlaha. Both of them were returning on foot after giving the book to Govardhan Das Maharaj. It is said that Devlaha was standing on the road in front of the village and waiting for a vehicle to go to Balrampur.

Meanwhile, an unknown vehicle crushed both of them, resulting in their death on the spot. It was not known which vehicle crushed them, but according to the villagers, two trucks had passed on the road at the time of the incident. It is being speculated that one of these trucks crushed both of them and drove away. Gaura Chauraha Police Station Head Harish Singh said that legal action is being taken. The vehicle that caused the accident is being searched. The responsibility of two children fell on two widowed women.

The death of Nitin Kumar Pandey, resident of Khalwa Mohalla, has brought a mountain of sorrow on the family. He leaves behind his wife Jaya Pandey and 12-year-old son Saksham. His mother had died a month ago. Elder brother Bhola Pandey has already died.

The family now consists of widowed sister-in-law Kavita Pandey and her 17 year old son Vasu. The wife of deceased Sunil Kumar Tripathi had died about seven years ago. He used to earn his living by organizing Katha pujas at home. After the death of his wife, he married his widowed sister-in-law Manju. He has five daughters and one son.
