Nitish Kumar, East Delhi. Bahubali Park in Surajmal Vihar in East Delhi looked like the Valley of Flowers in Uttarakhand on Saturday. Nature lovers enjoyed amidst beautiful colorful flowers. During this, the organizers also appealed to the people to connect with nature and plant trees.

The 28th Indraprastha Flower Show was organized by IP Horticulture Society in Surajmal Vihar. During this time the park was decorated on the theme of harmony with nature.

The theme of the flower show was designed in such a way that one experiences the picturesque views of snow clad mountains and lush green valleys along with the serene valleys of Kashmir.

During this period, species of flowers were seen on more than 100 types of plants, which included many species of plants like rose, sunflower, tulip, zinnia, petunia, Mary Gold etc.

Justice Madhu Jain and former MLA Naseeb Singh were the special guests in this program. He appreciated the organisers. He also appealed to the people who came to the show to be generous towards nature.

Competition organized for children

In the show, information related to environment was shared among children through children's competition. During this, children who gave correct answers were also rewarded. Through a street play based on the theme of 'Save Nature', people were appealed to be kind and generous towards nature. College, school students and members of MCD, Northern Railway and CPWD participated in these.

MCD, Northern Railway and CPWD won more than seven awards in this competition. Rachna Jain, Secretary of IP Horticulture Society, said that every year we organize such shows to connect people with nature. If everyone becomes a little aware and starts loving plants, then Delhi's pollution problem can be solved to a great extent.
