Piyush Dubey, Pilibhit. Due to the occurrence of road accidents in five police station areas of the district, special monitoring is being done there so that accidents can be curbed. To reduce the death rate after road accidents, the list of nearby hospitals and their locations were uploaded on Google Map, so that in case of an accident, nearby hospitals can be immediately known. With this, the patient can be saved by treating him during the golden hour itself.
Many national highways are passing through the district, but due to not being used to driving on them, people drive their vehicles in an uncontrolled manner. Due to this, accidents keep happening every day. Five police station areas of the district, Jehanabad, Bisalpur, Barkheda, Gajraula and Amaria, were identified and selected as zero fatality districts, so that accidents could be controlled.
Maximum number of accidents have occurred at different places in the three years 2023, 2024 and 2025. In the district, on NH-731 Pilibhit Bisalpur road, nine accidents took place in Patrasiya of Barkheda police station area, five in Jyoraha Kalyanpur, seven in Tikri in Bisalpur, five in Mandara Suman, seven in Saidpur on Tanakpur road of Newriya police station area.
Similarly, on NH-730 Pilibhit Puranpur road, six accidents took place at Puranpur Gate outpost in Sungarhi police station area, 17 at Bithaura Kalan area in Gajraula Kalan, seven at Khamaria Patti bypass cut in Puranpur police station area. Similarly, on NH-30, road accidents occurred at 11 places in Amriya town in Amriya police station area, six in Baratboj in Jehanabad police station area, seven in Brisen and five in Lalaurikheda.
Taking cognizance of these accidents, efforts are being made to stop them with the cooperation of the transport and police departments. Under this, one picket was deployed on the highway in each police station area with the highest number of accidents, so that in case of an accident, they could quickly take the injured to the hospital as well as take enforcement action. Apart from this, they will be responsible for the vehicles breaking down on the highway or the vehicles parked on the highway being mobile and parked at safe places from the side.

The details of hospitals located in the police station areas located on the highways of the other three districts of the division, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly and Badaun district, were uploaded on Google Map. After the accident, when you search for the nearest hospital, all the hospitals will be visible on the Google location map.
The names and locations of community health centres, primary health centers and private hospitals located in towns located around national highways were uploaded on Google Map. With this, the patient will get first aid within one hour of the accident during the golden hour. The picket team will work proactively on the highway.
