Dialogue partner, Sakra. Within four days, the police has exposed the case of robbery of a CSP operator in broad daylight in Madvan Chaur of Bariyarpur police station. Five miscreants have been arrested in the case. All the arrested criminals were planning to commit another crime near Ganiari bridge in Bariyarpur.
During this time everyone was surrounded and arrested. Weapons, cartridges, drugs, looted laptop and cash have been seized from the arrested criminals. Rural SP Rajesh Kumar Singh Prabhakar has given information about the arrest of miscreants in the press conference.
The miscreants have been identified as Deepu Kumar of Maniyari Madhopur Susta, Sundaram Kumar of Saraiya Vishunpura, Nitesh Kumar of Vaishali Parsania, Vishal Kumar of Turki Gaurihari and Sonu Kumar of Bariapur Madwan. All of them are connected to miscreants of inter-district gang. One country-made pistol, three cartridges, about 10 kg of intoxicant like ganja, looted laptop, charger, mouse, finger print device, keys, two bikes and looted amount of Rs 8,000 and three passbooks have been seized from them.
The SP said that there is enough evidence against the miscreants. Efforts will be made to get punishment through speedy trial. It may be noted that on December 22, Central Bank of India CSP operator Ankur Kumar had left his home to go to the CSP center in Bariyarpur police station area. As they were passing through a deserted road, three miscreants riding a bike stopped them. The miscreants looted Rs 2 lakh 25 thousand from him at pistol point, cash, laptop, passbook and other important documents and fled away. This incident, which happened in broad daylight, created a stir in the area.
After the incident, on the instructions of SSP, a special team was formed under the leadership of SDPO East-2 Manoj Kumar Singh. Along with Bariyarpur Police, STF was also included in this. Started search for miscreants on the basis of technical evidence and CC footage. CC cameras were examined and mobile location, suspicious call details and old criminal records were also scrutinized.
During the investigation, the police found indications that the crime was carried out by an organized gang, which has earlier targeted pedestrians and CSP operators. Meanwhile, on December 26, the police received information that the criminals involved in the robbery were planning to commit a new crime near the Ganiyari bridge of Bariyarpur. Acting on information, a siege was conducted and the five miscreants were caught. The SSP has announced to reward the policemen for uncovering the incident within 96 hours.
Last year, vicious Deepu and Sundaram were shot in the leg in a police encounter.
In June last year, Sundaram and his associate Deepu Kumar, who were included in the list of top ten criminals of the district, had escaped from police custody and attacked the police team. In retaliation, firing was done by the police in self-defense. In this, both the miscreants were shot in the legs. After coming out on bail, he started robbing again.
In the confession statement, the arrested miscreants admitted their involvement in the robbery with the CSP operator in Bariyarpur and told about carrying out many incidents including bank robbery, robbery and snatching in the past. The arrested criminal Deepu Kumar has a previous criminal record.
Arms Act case registered in Sadar in 2020 and 22, Arms Act case registered in Siwaipatti in 2024. Three cases are registered against Sundaram in Kanti, one in Motipur, two in Kudhani, one in Siwaipatti, one each in Saraiya, Meenapur and Kathaiya under Arms Act and other serious cases. Police say that past records are being scrutinized. Efforts will be made to take him on remand in pending cases.
