Correspondent, Dehri on Son. Physical verification of surveyed families is going to start in Dehri block area under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) through Housing Plus-2024.
Special teams of the district administration will go door-to-door in each Panchayat to check the eligibility of the beneficiaries. The documents, current housing status, income and other parameters of the families included in the uploaded list will be checked.
BDO Ajit Kumar said that the verification will be done with complete transparency and as per departmental guidelines. Ineligible beneficiaries will not get the benefit of the scheme under any circumstances. Names of families found ineligible will be removed from the list and a new waiting list of eligible families will be prepared.
This year, a comprehensive survey was conducted across the block for the selection of eligible beneficiaries for PM Awas Yojana. In 13 panchayats, surveyors collected door-to-door data, while many people completed self-surveys through mobile apps. A total of 6850 households were surveyed by surveyors and 2548 households were surveyed manually through the app.
All the data is uploaded on Aavas Plus App 2024. Now physical verification of these lists is being done, so that ineligible beneficiaries can be identified and removed.
Panchayat team will submit its report to the block office
Committees have been formed at three levels in the block to examine the Housing Plus-2024 list. At the Panchayat level, a two-member team – Rural Housing Assistant, Panchayat Employment Sevak and Panchayat Secretary will do door-to-door verification. BDO clarified that the personnel who conducted the survey will not do verification in that Panchayat.
After seeing the situation, the Panchayat team will give its report to the block office. At the block level, the team headed by the BDO will personally verify 10% of the data of the Panchayat list.
At the district level, a committee under the chairmanship of DDC will do 2% random verification of the reports received from the blocks. In this way the entire investigation process will be done in a fair and transparent manner.
Survey of eligible families left out after six years
The survey was conducted again after about six years to identify eligible beneficiaries who were left out of the waiting list under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin. The last survey of eligible families was conducted in the year 2018-19 and till now houses have been approved on the basis of the same list.
In the past years, many new families were formed at the Panchayat level, while many old eligible families could not come in the waiting list. This time the survey has been conducted again to include such left out families, so that the real beneficiaries can get the benefits of the scheme.
Who will be eligible for the housing scheme?
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), physical verification of the surveyed families through Awas Plus-2024 will be done in all the Panchayats with complete transparency as per the departmental guidelines. The investigation will be done on the basis of documents, information from neighbors and departmental records. Favoritism or negligence will not be tolerated at any level. -Ajit Kumar BDO Dehri Block
