Chittaranjan Singh, Khagaria. Kosi-Bagmati Diara has a population of more than 50 thousand. Diara's Sarsawa, Rohiyar, Thuthi Mohanpur and Buchha panchayats have been far away from development till now, but now the picture here is about to change. The work of the bridge under construction on Bagmati from Nawada Ghat to Kharaita Ghat is going on at a fast pace.

At the same time, bridge construction work is going on from Malpa Ghat to Rohiyar Ghat (Bagmati River). Apart from this, the construction work of SH-95 is going on war footing. Four big bridges are to be built on SH-95. In which bridge construction work on Kamala river has been completed. The work of the remaining three bridges is going on war footing.

This bridge is to be built on Kosi, Mrit Kosi and Bagmati. This road is passing near the famous Shaktipeeth Maa Katyayani place. After the completion of this road and bridge, the entire picture of Diara area will change and a new direction of development will be achieved.

Kosi-Bagmati Diara is famous for farming and animal husbandry. Whereas Maa Katyayani place located in Bangaliya of Rohiyar Panchayat is a famous Shaktipeeth. After the construction of this road and bridge, new doors for spiritual tourism will open.

It is known that a 345 meter long bridge is being built at Malpa Ghat at a cost of Rs 28 crore, while the construction work of a 500 meter bridge at a cost of Rs 57 crore is going on at Nawada Ghat. After the construction of these two bridges, a large population will be directly connected to SH-95. The distance to Saharsa, Supaul and Madhepura of Kosi region will be reduced. A new route will be found to reach Kosi area.

With the construction of a bridge between Nawada and Kharaita Ghat, the distance to Saharsa will be reduced. The distance from Chautham to Fungo Halt after crossing Nawada Ghat via Thuthi Mohanpur is about 12 kilometers. The distance from there to Saharsa is about 35 kilometers. Presently people have to cross BP Mandal Bridge and cover a distance of about 62 kilometers via Baijnathpur.

The construction of SH-95 and two bridges on Bagmati river will greatly benefit the farmers of Diara. Farmers will be able to send their crops directly to the market and rack point. Milk traders will also be able to sell milk in the market at a reasonable price.
