Digital Desk, New Delhi. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will now investigate the alleged terrorist conspiracy related to ricin poison. The Union Home Ministry has ordered to transfer this case from Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) to NIA.
Gujarat ATS had arrested Dr. Ahmed Mohiuddin Syed, Azad Suleman Shaikh and Mohammad Suhail Mohammad Salim in this case on November 9. All three are accused of planning a major terrorist attack using weapons and chemical substances.
ATS had registered a case against them under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Indian Justice Code and Arms Act.
