Jagran correspondent, Jhansi. With the aim of further strengthening the law and order in the district, Tikamgarh Police has started a comprehensive vigilance campaign. Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Alok Kumar, foot patrolling, mobile patrolling and night vigil have been intensified across the district, so that prompt action can be ensured on any criminal activity.
Giving information in this regard, Superintendent of Police Alok Kumar said that security is a collective responsibility, vigilance and cooperation of citizens makes police efforts more effective and the police is working with full commitment to ensure the safety of every citizen of the district.
The Superintendent of Police said that police visibility has been increased in major markets, religious places and crowded public places of the city. By deploying additional forces in sensitive areas, intensive investigation of suspicious persons and vehicles is being done.
Real-time feed received from CCTV cameras and patrolling vehicles is being continuously monitored through the integrated live monitoring desk in the police control room. Foot patrolling has been made mandatory in all police station areas in the evening.
Additional police presence has been ensured in schools, coaching zones and market areas. Special focus is being laid on speed control, vehicle checking and suspicious activities through interceptor vehicles on the highways. Night flash patrolling is also being done along with regular deployment at bus stands, railway stations and major routes. Community policing has also been given priority under the campaign.
Problems of citizens are being heard through police station dialogue meetings in mohallas and gram panchayats. Anti-drugs and cyber security awareness programs are being organized in schools and colleges. Police cooperation is being strengthened through coordination meetings with business organizations, religious institutions and transport unions.
Surveillance has been increased by deploying additional forces at rural border posts. The cyber cell is keeping a close watch on the rumours, misleading messages and sensitive content spread on social media.
Youth are being made aware under the safe internet usage campaign. Besides, the records of hotels, lodges, tenants and laborers working at construction sites are being speeded up and maintained in digital form.
