Jagran correspondent, Chhapra. Crime prevention seminar for the month of January was organized under the chairmanship of Senior Superintendent of Police Vineet Kumar on Monday evening at Bhikhari Thakur Auditorium of Chapra city.
In the meeting, emphasis was laid on maintaining peace and order in the entire district during Mahashivratri and Holi festivals, identifying sensitive places and deploying adequate police force there and continuously increasing patrolling.
The SSP directed all police station heads, zonal police inspectors and sub-divisional police officers to ensure strict action against those who disturb law and order during festivals. Along with this, instructions were also given to implement a complete ban on playing DJ.
Action against anti-social elements under section 126
In the meeting, all the police station heads were instructed to identify anti-social elements active in their police station area and take preventive action under Section 126 of BNS.
Instructions were also given to prepare and send a proposal under Section 107 of BNSS for confiscation of property acquired through crime by criminals.
Contemporary campaign will run on warranty-ferraris
The SSP asked to ensure execution of warrants, summons and attachments by conducting contemporary operations for the arrest of warrants, wanted accused and absconding criminals. Instructions were also given to organize “Diary Writing Camps” for speedy disposal of pending cases in police stations.
Visitor register mandatory in police stations, daily plan duty
Police station incharges were ordered to maintain the visitors register in the police station premises. In this, it will be mandatory to record the name, address, mobile number and purpose of every person visiting the police station.
Apart from this, instructions were also given to conduct plan duty in the police station area every day and to run vehicle checking campaign continuously.
Strictness in vehicle checking and night patrolling
During vehicle checking and night patrolling, instructions were given to keep a strict vigil on suspicious persons and biker gangs roaming around wearing masks, gloves or mufflers. Police were asked to exercise special vigilance so that any criminal activity could be stopped in time.
Complaint box will open daily, Gunda parade on Sunday
Orders were given to open the complaint/suggestion boxes kept in the police stations daily and to provide prompt redressal to the public complaints. The SSP directed to organize goonda parade in all the police stations every Sunday from 12 noon to 2 pm and to update 14 heads of the goonda register.
Police station incharges were instructed to investigate at least two cases every month, which would include one special reported case. Under CCA-12, each sub-divisional police officer was asked to send at least five proposals.
Action on negligence in uniform, turnout and verification
Instructions were given in the meeting that all the police officers and personnel on duty should always be in uniform and their turnout should be of high quality. Also, it was asked to ensure the execution of passport and character verification applications within the stipulated time period. In case of negligence or laxity, action was warned against the concerned.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sanjay Kumar, ASP Ram Pukar Singh, all sub-divisional police officers, DSP (Headquarters) Sweety Singh, DSP (Cyber) Chandrabhushan, DSP (Protected), DSP (Traffic) Santosh Kumar Paswan and all zonal police inspectors, police station in-charges, branch in-charges and prosecution officers were present in the meeting.
