Digital Desk, New Delhi. Bangladesh is once again burning in the fire of violence. Minorities are being targeted in Bangladesh. Recently, Dipu Chandra Das and Amrit Mandal were gruesomely murdered. Meanwhile, Hindu citizens trapped and persecuted in stricken Bangladesh are pleading India to open the borders to escape terrorism.
Meanwhile, with the help of exiled Bangladesh Sanatan Jagran Macha leader Nihar Halder, talks were held with Hindu citizens living in Rangpur, Chittagong, Dhaka and Mymensingh. TOI was quoted as saying that these people talked on WhatsApp call.
What are the Hindu minorities of Bangladesh saying?
A 52-year-old resident of Rangpur says that he is constantly facing insults because of his religion. He said that the taunts we hear while walking on the streets can soon turn into lynchings.
Further said that minority Hindus say that we are trapped and we have no place to go. We are bearing the insult because we are afraid that the same fate as happened to Deepu or Amrit might happen to us.
Hindus of Bangladesh are worried about this thing
At the same time, another Hindu resident of Dhaka said that if the lynching of Dipu Das has created fear, then the return of former President Khaleda Zia's son Tariq Rahman to Bangladesh has made him even more worried. If BNP comes to power, we may have to face more harassment. Sheikh Hasina's Awami League was our only savior.
A worker of Sanatan Jagran Macha said on the condition of anonymity that there is a total Hindu population of 25 lakh in Bangladesh. This number cannot be underestimated. Hindu organizations in India are talking for show, nothing else. We are moving towards a genocide.
At the same time, a resident of Mayansingh says that it is not that there will be migration of Hindus after the borders are opened, but at least we will be safe from violence. On the other hand, a Hindu from Dhaka says that we are living a life like the worst nightmare. Opening of Indian borders will at least open a safe path for the people facing persecution.
