Illegal water plants running in Khoda. Awakening
Jagran correspondent, Khoda. खोड़ा में लोगों के घर की ग्रोसरी और दूध का खर्चा एक तरफ है और पानी का खर्चा एक तरफ है। The expenditure on water is much more than what is spent on milk and ration every month. We have to survive by purchasing water for everything from drinking to essential purposes.
People of Khoda told that they have to buy water for everything from bathing and washing clothes to drinking. Due to this, at least four to five thousand rupees from the salary is spent on ration every month. Many times, due to purchasing excess bottled water, this expense reaches up to seven thousand rupees.
If you drink water from a renowned company, your expenses will increase further. That is why we survive by purchasing water from plants only. It is not even known whether the quality of that water is good or not. Water is not even tested at these illegal plants. People say that if Ganga water is supplied then the cost of water will end. This will provide great relief to the population here. Because a large part of the salary is spent on water.
Problems increased due to planning being stuck
People say that if Ganga water was available under Amrit 2.0 scheme, the economic situation would have improved. Actually, Ganga water was to be supplied in Khoda at a cost of Rs 183 crore. This plan is still stuck on paper. Jal Nigam officials sometimes say that the scheme has been canceled and sometimes they shrug it off by saying that the process is going on. No officer is giving correct information about the scheme.
More money is spent every month on purchasing water than on ration. If Ganga water was available, four to five thousand rupees would have been saved every month. Getting Ganga water has become just a dream.

One has to survive by purchasing water from illegal plants for drinking. For household needs, water has to be purchased from tankers or submersible vendors.

There should be a permanent solution to the water problem here. As long as there is politics over water, water will not be available. People's representatives are remembered only in elections.
