The Journalism course run under the Department of Hindi and Modern Indian Languages and Journalism of Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University has taken a step towards a new academic achievement. After the remarkable success of the students of the department in UGC-NET December-2025, the university administration has planned to start a PhD program in the subject of Journalism.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Tandon assured the Journalism Department that based on the achievements of the students, the process of starting a PhD program in Journalism course will be started from the current academic session.
Head of Department Prof. Describing the success of the students as a big achievement of the department, Deepak Prakash Tyagi said that this result is the result of hard work, discipline of the students and continuous guidance of the teachers. Journalism course coordinator Prof. All the teachers of the department including Rajesh Mall congratulated the successful students and wished for their bright future.
UGC-NET December-2025 Brijesh Dubey, Shivam Tripathi and Vandana Tripathi have qualified the NET exam. Whereas Anurag Mishra, Chandan Sharma, Pragati Gupta and Alka Rai have been successful in qualifying for PhD admission.
