Digital Desk, New Delhi. US Commerce Secretary Howard Latnick has made a big claim regarding the trade deal between India and America. The American minister said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had not called US President Donald Trump, hence this deal was not done.

"To be clear, this was the American president's deal," Howard Latnick said in an interview with American venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya on the All-In podcast. He takes the final decision. He does everything. Everything was already decided, for this PM Modi had to call the President. They felt uncomfortable doing so. Therefore, Modi did not call.
Latnick further said that 'After what happened that Friday, the next week we announced several deals with Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam.'
