Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) police station has arrested a total of 54 persons while conducting a major operation against illegal activities and fake documents in the month of November this year.

Of the total 54 persons arrested, the police also accused 26 in serious cases related to fake visas and passports, including 6 fake agents who lured people to send them abroad illegally.

Strict action against brokers also

Apart from this, taking strict action against illegal activities and touting operating in the airport premises, 28 touts have also been arrested in the month of November itself. This action has been taken by the police against the touts who unnecessarily harass and cheat the passengers at the airport.

Deputy Commissioner of Police said that these arrests are an important success of the police in strengthening the security arrangements at IGI Airport and curbing organized crimes involving fake documents.
