A tussle has arisen between the director of the institute and the hospital administration regarding the flag hoisting programme. The situation is that two different notifications have been issued for the same campus, due to which there is confusion among the employees and medical students.
A joint ceremony was claimed in the IMS order issued on January 21. On the advice of the Joint Registrar of IMS, it was decided to organize the joint flag hoisting ceremony of the Institute of Medical Sciences, Sir Sunderlal Hospital and Trauma Center on January 26 at 10.45 am.
It has been said in the letter that the Director of the Institute will hoist the flag at the main gate of the IMS building, in which all the academic and non-academic staff of the Institute will be compulsorily present. The hospital's own separate program has been announced in a second order shortly after the joint program was announced.
On Saturday, another information was issued by Dr. Rashmi Ranjan, Deputy Registrar of Hospital Administration. According to this order, Medical Superintendent Prof. in front of Sir Sundarlal Hospital complex i.e. Dr. KN Udupa Block on Monday at 11 am. The flag will be hoisted by Kailash Kumar.
The director had already announced the joint programme, but the hospital administration releasing its own separate program highlights the ongoing internal factionalism and lack of administrative coordination within the institution.
