RRB ALP Recruitment 2026
Job Desk, New Delhi. There is good news for the youth who are dreaming of getting a government job in Railways. The new recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) has been approved by the Railway Ministry. Now the online application process for recruitment will soon be started by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). As soon as the application starts, eligible and interested candidates will be able to fill the online form to join the recruitment.

Zone wise recruitment details have been shared by RRB. According to the notification, appointments will be made on a total of 11127 vacant posts of Assistant Loco Pilot. Zone wise number of posts are as follows-
Railway Recruitment 2026: Eligibility for RRB ALP posts
To apply for Railway Assistant Loco Pilot posts, candidates must have passed 10th with ITI from a recognized board/institute or the candidate must have obtained Diploma in Engineering with 10th. Candidates who have obtained engineering degree will also be eligible to apply for this recruitment. To participate in the recruitment, the minimum age of the candidates should not be less than 18 years and maximum age should not be more than 30 years. OBC will be given 3 years relaxation in upper age and SC/ST category will be given 5 years relaxation. Along with this, other reserved categories and ex-servicemen have also been given relaxation in upper age as per rules.
All other categories will have to deposit Rs 500 along with the application in this recruitment. The application fee for SC/ ST/ Ex-Serviceman/ Transgender/ EBC is Rs 250.
To get selected in this recruitment, candidates will have to go through CBT 1, CBT 2, Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination (ME).
