Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur/Gorakhpur. In the case of fake recruitment in Railways, the ED team on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids in Bihar, UP and other states. According to ED sources, Patna team is raiding the master mind of fake recruitment Raghavendra Shukla in Fulhar village of Bansgaon police station area of ​​Gorakhpur.

Raghavendra absconded before the raid, but the team investigated his residential premises. During this period his family members were not allowed to go out. The investigation is underway into Raghavendra's property and his connections with Nepal and railway officials and white collars.

After Railway SSP Beena Kumari got this information, the entire SIT team including Railway Station Head Dharmendra Kumar was activated. In this case, the intelligence team of Railway Police had already gone to Phulhar, but Raghavendra could not be traced.

Railway SP said that he is absconding in the fake recruitment case in Sonpur. Some intelligence has also been deployed along with the SIT. After that, the owner of Gujarat's Champion Software Company is also being searched. The fraudster used to deposit money in the name of fake recruitment.

ED had taken cognizance after the news of a fraudster's company worth Rs 2000 crore was published in Dainik Jagran in April last year. After that, the ED team of Delhi and Patna reached Sonpur Railway Station and took copies of the documents related to fake recruitment.

Let us tell you that on December 30, 2023, Senior DCM Roshan Kumar in Sonpur Railway Station had caught four fake TTEs with fake ID cards while checking tickets at the station. An FIR was lodged in the case. When the intelligence investigation of Railways started, it was found that this kind of fake recruitment racket in Railways is spread all over the country.

The then police station chief Dharmendra Kumar had arrested ten miscreants including fraudster Deepak Tiwari along with the cook of the then ADRM of Sonpur Railway Division and the pointsman of the engineering department and sent them to jail. Shukla, the mastermind of the case, is absconding since that time.

SIT team went to Sonpur several times, but he managed to escape every time. The other accused including Deepak Tiwari are on bail. Today, there was a stir among railwaymen and police officers regarding ED's action.
