Jagran correspondent, Lucknow. A woman living in a colony of Saadatganj has filed a case against her husband for marrying her by hiding her name and mentally harassing her. The police registered a case and arrested the accused. The woman, a resident of Kannauj, alleged that she was married in 2010. She had a child from her first husband. The husband was mentally unwell. In 2015, the young man befriended her and got married by telling her his name was Ritesh Maurya. After this he started living in Saadatganj area on rent. The woman became pregnant in 2018. When the accused took him to his house in Madhauganj Hardoi, he came to know that the real name of the youth is Arif.
After this the woman protested but the accused pacified her by threatening her. A year ago Asif started mentally harassing her. After this the woman complained to Hardoi police but no hearing took place. Tired of getting tired, he filed a case in Saadatganj police station.
The woman has also accused Asif of usurping the car given to her by her father. Inspector Santosh Kumar Arya said that the accused Asif has been arrested.
