Jagran correspondent, Jaipur. A three-storey building collapsed due to vibration after 9 pm on Saturday night in Kota, Rajasthan. A young man and a woman died after being buried under its debris. More than two dozen people were buried under the debris, out of which ten people were pulled out by late night. The condition of four of the injured is critical.

District Collector Piyush Samaria said that some people are still buried under the debris. However, it is difficult to tell their exact number. According to sources, six to seven more people are feared buried under the debris.

State Education Minister Madan Dilawar, BJP MLA Sandeep Sharma and District Collector Piyush Samaria were present at the spot and monitoring the rescue operation. People nearby told that suddenly the building collapsed with a loud noise.

After the accident, electricity supply has been stopped in the area due to security reasons. Work was going on for the last several days in a three-storey house behind the damaged building. Drill machines and hammers and other machines were running every day, due to which the damaged building was vibrating for three days. The building suddenly collapsed after 9 pm on Saturday night.

Poklane operator fell into a hundred feet deep ditch during mining in Alwar. Due to the collapse of a part of the mountain during mining in Alwar, the Poklane machine and its operator fell into a ditch filled with water about a hundred feet deep. The operator who fell into the ditch is a resident of Buxar, Bihar.

The accident happened late Friday evening, but rescue operations could not be started due to darkness. NDRF started the rescue operation on Saturday morning. Despite all efforts, the porter could not be taken out till evening.

The local Tehsildar said that the rescue work was becoming difficult due to the deep ditch being filled with water. People said that about 50 tonnes of debris and stones fell down from the mountain, which hit the Poklane machine and its operator. It is alleged that illegal mining was also taking place there.
