Jagran correspondent, Muradnagar. On Saturday, near Railway Road police post in Muradnagar police station area, in broad daylight, miscreants made a woman smell intoxicants and looted her jewellery. When the woman regained consciousness, she realized what had happened to her. This incident was carried out by two accused.
The miscreants targeted the woman on the pretext of asking for directions. This incident has also exposed the negligence of the police. Based on the complaint of the woman's husband, the police has started searching for the accused. Madhubala, wife of Bijendra, resident of Jalalpur Road, Muradnagar, is a housewife. She had gone to Railway Road to buy groceries on Saturday morning.
When she was returning after shopping, a young man stopped her near the police post and asked her the way to Modinagar. The woman told him the way. After this the accused went some distance away and stood there. Meanwhile, the second accused came from behind and started talking to him. Meanwhile, the accused made the woman smell intoxicating substance through a cloth, due to which she became unconscious. After this they stole her earrings and gold chain.
After some time the woman regained consciousness and came to know what had happened to her. It took some time for him to recover completely. He was feeling dizzy. With the help of people nearby, she reached her home and told everything to her family. After this she went to the police station with her husband Bijendra and lodged a complaint.
The woman told that the accused had also given her a bundle of papers. He doesn't remember anything after smelling the intoxicant through his clothes. ACP said that investigation is being done on the basis of complaint. The accused will be arrested soon and the case will be solved.
