Jagran Correspondent, Dehradun: On one hand, the Transport Department has issued an order to operate Vikram with six passengers. On the other hand, the RTO order had no effect on Vikram drivers.
Vikram, running on different routes of the city, was being operated with eight to 10 passengers. Apart from this, it was found that the vehicle was being operated with two passengers each on the driver's seat. However, the Transport Department is claiming strict action against Vikram. Last Monday, RTO administration Sandeep Saini issued an order to operate six passengers in Vikram. On Tuesday, Vikram, operating on various routes of the city, was investigated. But no such Vikram driver was found. Who was found complying with the order.
Vikram was being operated even with two passengers sitting on the driver's seat. The work of boarding and deboarding passengers was being done at the left turn from Saharanpur Chowk to Tehsil Chowk. Due to which a traffic jam was being created. Ambulances and private vehicles had to face many difficulties in getting out of Vikram, which was parked at the intersections.
The worst situation was seen at Saharanpur Chowk, Railway Station, Prince Chowk, Tehsil Chowk, Lansdowne Chowk. In the race to accommodate the passengers, driver Vikram even forgot the RTO order.
RTO administration Sandeep Saini said that strict action will be taken against Vikram drivers who do not comply with the order. RTO enforcement has completed preparations for the special campaign. In the past also, along with seizure action, heavy fine was imposed on Vikram.
