Jagran correspondent, Hathras. Haitha Raghunathpur village of Hasayan block is trapped in scam in development works. After the charges against both of them were proved, the financial and administrative officers of Pradhan have been seized and instructions for their recovery have been given on the instructions of the DM. The Secretary's involvement in the scam has also come to light. Recovery will be made from them also. Along with this, action of suspension will be implemented at the departmental level.
Case of Raghunathpur Gram Panchayat of Hasayan, Pradhan's powers seized
Let us tell you that the complainants Mahesh Chandra, Arpit Kumar and Ashish Kumar etc. are residents of Gram Panchayat Haitha Raghunathpur, Vikas. This was done by Khand Hasayan against Ashok Kumar Agnihotri, village head Haitha Raghunathpur. Allegations were made that serious irregularities have been committed in the name of development. This matter should be investigated so that action can be taken against the guilty head and secretary.
A team was formed for preliminary investigation
Taking the complaint seriously, the then DM Rahul Pandey has constituted a team for preliminary investigation. The investigation was initiated on 16 October 2024. District Agriculture Officer and Assistant Engineer RED were named in the investigation team.
The inquiry committee reported to the DM that the village head and secretary, Gram Panchayat Haitha Raghunathpur were found jointly prima facie guilty for wastage of total funds amounting to Rs 1,11,912/ lakh and for not calling the village society meeting regularly. After being found guilty in the investigation, a notice was sent to the Principal and Secretary Devendra Singh but the reply was not satisfactory.
Total amount in trial financial irregularities Rs 3,20,436 lakh
In the final investigation, financial irregularities amounting to Rs 3,20,436 lakh were found, for which the village head and the secretary are jointly responsible, half of which Rs 1,60,219 lakh is to be recovered from the village head. DM Atul Vats said that the Gram Pradhan Gram Panchayat Haitha Raghunathpur will not exercise the financial and administrative powers until he is finally cleared of the charges and for the said period, the financial and administrative powers of the Gram Pradhan Gram Panchayat Haitha Raghunathpur Development Block-Hasayan will remain vested in the three-member committee formed.
