Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. During the preparations for the annual festival Inversia-2026 at Invertis University, balloons suddenly caught fire on Wednesday. There was chaos due to the fire. Some students got burnt in this and were sent to Mission Hospital for treatment. However, the university administration has denied that the students were burnt.
Due to the sudden fire in the balloons, it is suspected that they were filled with hydrogen gas instead of helium. A few days ago, balloons in the lift suddenly caught fire in Goregaon, Mumbai. The incident of balloon fire is worrying as people release balloons at events other than homes.

The formal unveiling of the dates and theme of the Inversia festival was scheduled for Wednesday. During this, balloons of different colors were released in the air. During this time, apart from the administrative officers and teachers of the university, students were also present on the stage. The students were also making a video of the program when balloons of different colors were released.
Suddenly the balloons caught fire and there was chaos. Some students also got burnt in the fire, who were admitted to Mission Hospital located in Civil Lines. The relatives of the students also reached here. Bithri Chainpur police station in-charge said that no information has been given to the police station about balloons catching fire during the program. Rajesh Sharma, media in-charge of Invertis University, said that the balloons had burst during the program, but there was no injury.
