Jagran correspondent, Kanpur. A dramatic twist was seen in the Kushagra murder case on Thursday. Just before the sentencing, murderer Prabhat's associate Shiva finally broke down due to the fear of hanging. He narrated the entire incident before the court. Prabhat had written the ransom letter to Kushagra and he was also involved in delivering the letter to Kushagra's house.
On January 20, the court had convicted Prabhat, his girlfriend Rachit Bharat and his partner Shiv in the Kushagra murder case. Sentencing is scheduled for Thursday. The sentencing points were debated before sentencing. All three murderers were made to stand in the dock. While all this was going on, Shiva surprised everyone by unveiling this incident.
A conspiracy was hatched to kidnap and murder
He told the court how Prabhat and Rachita planned the kidnapping and murder. He told that Prabhat had written the ransom letter which he had gone to deliver to Kushagra's house in Rachit's scooter. After this confession of Shiva, the chances of Prabhat and Rachita getting strict punishment increased.
At the same time, Kushagra's uncle Sumit Kanodia said that if Shiv had confessed the same thing earlier, then who knows when this case would have been decided and his family would have had to suffer like this. He expressed confidence that the court will sentence the accused to death.
Uncle got upset after hearing the statement of accused Shiva
Late Kushagra's uncle Sumit Kanodia was shocked to hear the statement of Shiva, who was convicted of murder. After the debate was over, he came out and said that earlier Shiva was saying that he was not at the spot, but in the last statement he admitted that he had gone to Kushagra's house to submit the letter, but he did not know what was written in the letter. The letter was written by Prabhat together with Rachita.
Shiva also said in the statement that he was not at that place at the time of the murder. Prabhat had sent him to bring Dhokla. Sumit said that if Shiva had given this statement earlier then he would not have had to wander for two and a half years. We will fight against the murderers till our last breath. Rachita, Prabhat and Shiva should be given death sentence.
