Jagran Bureau, New Delhi. The effect of cold has started reducing in North India for the last two-three days. The weather is sunny in the afternoon and the weather has turned pleasant from pinkish cold in the evening. But, the change in weather is not going to stop, the weather pattern is going to change completely in the hilly and plain areas of North India for a week from Thursday. Due to the activity of two consecutive western disturbances, the weather of North-West India will change again with a slight difference.

Due to good snowfall in the mountains and associated cyclonic winds in the plains, there will be rain, strong winds and fluctuations in temperature.

According to the Meteorological Department, the first western disturbance will be active between January 22-23, while the second and more effective system may show impact between January 26 and 28.

Snowfall on the mountains from 22-26 January

Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal and Uttarakhand may receive widespread rain and snowfall between January 23 and 26. Especially on January 23, there may be heavy snowfall in Kashmir Valley and high altitude areas of Himachal and Uttarakhand. Due to this, the cold wave in the mountains will become more intense.

In the plains, light to moderate rain is expected in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan between January 23 and 24. There may be rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh on 23 and 24 January.

During this period, there is also a warning of strong winds at a speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour along with thunderstorms in many areas.

Severe cold will increase in Delhi

Meteorologists say that rain will reduce pollution, but after this, cold winds blowing from the north-west can bring the temperature down again. This means that after rain and snowfall, another severe phase of cold may return, which may be of the same intensity as last week.

In the coming days, North India will once again experience cold winter with changes in all the weather elements like wind, clouds, fog, humidity and temperature.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will change with strong winds in both eastern and western parts of Uttar Pradesh from January 23.

Delhi NCR is currently in a state of relief from the severe cold of this season. The minimum temperature remains above 7 degrees Celsius and the day temperature has reached around 26 degrees.

However, the first rain of this winter may occur in Delhi on January 23. Another wave of rain is going to come between 26 and 28 January. Republic Day celebrations may be hit by light rain.
