Jagran correspondent, Kanpur Dehat. About two years ago, the girl, resident of Araul town of Kanpur, was beaten to death by her step mother and father. On the basis of maternal uncle's complaint, the police had registered a case against the accused.
The hearing of the case was going on in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Six Durgesh. During the hearing of the case on Thursday on the appointed date, the court sentenced the accused stepmother and father to life imprisonment. Along with this, fine has also been imposed.
ADGC Vivek Tripathi said that Araul resident Anish Alam had given a complaint letter to the police, in which it was told that his cousin sister Meera Bano was married to Anees Mohammad, resident of Ghazna Araul, from whom he has three daughters and one son. Sister Meera Banu died after the birth of her daughters. On this the brother-in-law got married for the second time to Farzana Khatoon.
Serious injury in fight
My nephews and nieces were beaten by my step mother and brother-in-law, about which she kept getting information. On February 3, 2024, information was received from village Ghajna that niece Rihanna was beaten by her stepmother and father, due to which she suffered serious injuries.

After this, it was covered with a pile of wood on the roof. The people of the village sent Rihanna by ambulance to CHC Bilhaur at around 7 pm, where the emergency doctor declared her dead. The police had registered a case in the matter on the basis of maternal uncle's complaint, the hearing of which was going on in Additional District and Sessions Judge Six. The court found the accused stepmother Farzana Khatoon and father Anees Mohammad guilty and sentenced them to life imprisonment.
