Forensic team and police present at the spot to investigate the dead body of the woman in Khekra. Awakening -
Samvad Sahiy, Jagran, Khekra, Baghpat. A 52-year-old man reached Khekra police station in a dejected state at 9:45 am on Wednesday and said, "Sir, arrest me... I have come after murdering my wife."
The police were stunned to hear this, when they reached the given address, the woman was lying on the ground. The police sent the body for post-mortem and interrogated the accused. The man murdered the woman in protest against getting her house named after her cousin.
52-year-old Ramanpal, a resident of Jalalabad village of Muradnagar police station area of Ghaziabad, has been living near the municipality office in Shah Garden Colony with his 50-year-old wife Sangeeta for almost two years. According to police, Raman told that he had bought this house. But the wife has registered it in the name of her cousin brother, resident of Dhikauli.
Not only this, he has also made a will of 22 bighas of land in the village in his name, in which my cousin has been made the witness. There used to be arguments between the two regarding this issue.
There was an altercation between the two again since Wednesday morning. He beat his wife and she fell on the ground. He slammed his head on the ground two-three times and then strangulated him to death. After this the accused informed about the murder of the Kotwali police wife.
When the police arrived, the woman's body was lying on the ground. In the dispute, a part of one of the woman's fingers was cut off, while blood was flowing from the back of the head along with the mouth. On information, the forensic team took samples from the spot.
Police sent the body for postmortem. The woman's daughter Arzoo filed a case against the accused father for killing her mother. Police is getting other information about the incident from the accused. Kotwali in-charge Prabhakar Kaintura says that a case has been registered. The accused is being interrogated.
Son lives separately, daughter is married
Ramanpal and Sangeeta have two children. Son Pradeep and daughter Arju are married. Pradeep is a driver who has been living separately from both of them for many years in Meerut with his family. While daughter Arju is married to a young man from Badauli village. Upon finding out, daughter Arzoo arrived and filed a complaint against the accused father.
They did not come out of the house, everyone was shocked by the incident. People of the locality say that the couple lived in the house for two-three years. But he did not have much relation with anyone. Every day the sound of the altercation between the two kept coming out. Only a few people had seen the couple in the locality.
The woman living on rent in a nearby house said that she had not even seen the gate of the house open for four months. All that was known was that the couple lived in the house. Only after the arrival of the police, the people of the locality came to know about the incident due to which everyone was shocked.
During interrogation, Ramanpal told the police that 22 bighas of land in the village was given for cultivation. Both of them were surviving on the money earned.
