Dialogue Assistant, Tikari (Gaya). Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has announced the special entrance examination for admission to PhD courses for the academic session 2025. Applications have been invited for a total of 133 seats in 11 subjects. This special admission process has been started to fill those seats which remain vacant after the enrollment of candidates selected from national examinations like UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, GATE, GPAT, CEED etc.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh said that the aim of the university is to fill all the PhD seats with qualified and research-oriented students, thereby improving both the quality and speed of research work.
Out of 133 seats, 09 seats have been reserved for PWD candidates under horizontal reservation.
Controller of Examinations (CoE) Dr. Shantigopal Pine said that eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the university's admission portal https://cusbadm.samarth.edu.in till December 15.
The written entrance examination will be conducted on December 22 at CUSB campus in Panchanpur. In the examination, it will be mandatory to obtain 50 percent marks for unreserved category and 45 percent marks for OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PWD categories.
Candidates successful in the written examination will be called for interview, after which the final selection list will be released.
PRO Mohammad Mudassir Alam said that this time seats have been earmarked in Life Science, Environmental Science, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Pharmacy and Teacher Education subjects.
The application fee has been kept at Rs 1000 for general and EWS categories and Rs 750 for OBC, SC, ST and PWD categories.
Deputy Registrar Kumar Kaushal has advised the candidates to read the detailed guidelines and eligibility criteria available on the university website www.cusb.ac.in before applying, so that there is no error in the application process.
The university administration believes that the special entrance examination will increase widespread participation in research work and promote quality research in various subjects.
