He immediately made crime control a priority and within a month arrested a criminal by shooting him in the leg in an encounter. During his tenure, the police arrested 38 miscreants in 34 encounters. Manikant Mishra decided to organize Janata Darbar every Tuesday in Kashipur to solve the problems of the people and solved them sitting there. He also cracked down heavily on drug smugglers.
Successful in making two villages of Khatima drug free
SSP Manikant Mishra remained alert not only about crime control but also about de-addiction. On the basis of complaints and arrested criminals, he identified two villages of Khatima, Majhola and Vanagwan, and also pledged to make them drug free. Later, during several visits there, he made the villagers aware and made them pledge that they will neither consume drugs nor allow drugs to be consumed in the villages.
The Governor had also praised Mishra for his fitness.
SSP Manikant Mishra is very conscious about his fitness. He used to eat food only once. Regarding his fitness, Governor Lieutenant General (Retd) Gurmeet Singh, who attended the program organized at Pantnagar Agricultural University, had also praised him a lot. In the middle of the program, he raised SSP Mishra twice and appealed to the students to take inspiration from him.
Goonda Act and gangsters will be imposed on drug smugglers: Ganpati
Udham Singh Nagar's new SSP Ajay Ganapati said while talking to Jagran that cracking down on crime and criminals in Udham Singh Nagar is his priority. Traffic will be made systematic, roadmap will be brought for women safety. Gunda Act and gangster action will be taken against drug smugglers. Most of the videos and incidents of firing being circulated on the internet in the district will be curbed.
