Jagran correspondent, East Delhi. Due to the serious pollution situation in the capital, Grape-Four is in force. The situation is such that it has become difficult for people to breathe. Shahdara district administration is taking strict action against those who violate grape restrictions. The administration issued challans to 115 people. A total of challans worth Rs 50 lakh have been administered. Challans are also being collected from people. People have been asked to pay the challan within ten days.
Shahdara SDM Tapan Jha said that construction work in Grape-four is completely stopped. Burning of fire with wood and coal is prohibited. The administration has formed teams of 16 employees to ensure proper implementation of the restrictions. These teams are going to every area. Wherever construction work is taking place or someone is lighting a fire.
If someone has kept building construction material in the open, then challans are being issued for him. Violation challans ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 1 lakh are being issued. He said that every restaurant is being visited to check whether raw tandoor is being used. Most of the restaurant operators have replaced the raw tandoor with gas one. Some restaurants and dhabas have placed orders. He said that wherever the order is found being violated, action will be taken.
