Sugar Mill Employee Dies Due To Collision With Unknown Vehicle In Sitapur, Wave Of Mourning In Gorakhpur

Jagran correspondent, Sitapur/Gorakhpur. A sugar mill employee resident of Gorakhpur died in a road accident in Sitapur late on Wednesday night. The employee who was injured in the collision with an unknown vehicle died before reaching the hospital. As soon as information about the incident was received, mourning spread in Radhopattipadri village of Jhangha police station area of ​​Gorakhpur.

Amarnath Yadav, 45, resident of Radhopatipadri, Tola Failha, was working as a boiler operator in Dalmia Sugar Mill Unit, Jawaharpur, Ramkot (Sitapur) since 2006. He lived in a rented house in Ramkot town with his wife Geeta Devi and two sons, 20-year-old Aditya and 18-year-old Ajit.

Elder son Aditya is studying B.Sc after passing Intermediate, while younger son Ajit is appearing for Intermediate exam. Late on Wednesday evening, Amarnath Yadav along with his fellow employee Sanjay Yadav had gone to Baoli village to attend the Tilak ceremony of his colleague Ajay Pal at his place.

Both returned at around 11 pm. Amarnath first dropped Sanjay at Mill Colony and then left for his home by bike. At that time there was a traffic jam on the main road in front of the mill gate due to sugarcane laden and empty tractor-trolleys.

Meanwhile, an unknown vehicle hit his bike. After the collision, he was found lying seriously injured on the road. The mill employees were returning after finishing their duty, who stopped after seeing the crowd, identified him and took him to the hospital where the doctor declared him dead.

Police station head Ramkot Piyush Singh said that an unknown vehicle is being searched and investigation into the matter is going on. The body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem at around 3 pm on Thursday afternoon.

Family members are returning to the village. Amarnath Yadav was the youngest of five brothers. The entire responsibility of maintaining the family was on him. There is a wave of mourning in the village and the family members are in bad condition, crying.
