Communication partner, Jalandhar. A young man died under suspicious circumstances on Sunday afternoon in Basti Danishmanda. However, the people of the area and his family said that the death of the young man was due to drug overdose, but the police has not given any confirmation about the drug overdose.
Deepu, a resident of the area, said that drugs are sold openly in the area and youths are dying every day in the West area. The same conditions prevailed in the colony even after 20 years, where a boy lost his life due to drug addiction. He said that people need to come out of their homes unitedly.
He said that the mother of the deceased youth is in a bad condition and crying, while many leaders including BJP leader Sheetal Angural have come to express their condolences to the family of the deceased. BJP leader Sheetal reached the spot and said that a child was lost from the lap of a mother. Sheetal Angural said that parents cry over the death of youth. He said that earlier Qazi Mandi Mohalla of the city was a den of drugs but now drug addiction has increased in the slum areas.
