A teenage girl died after getting electrocuted by the supporter of a pillar outside her house. The family alleges that despite complaining several times, it was not rectified which led to the accident.
A Class 12 student died tragically after being electrocuted by an electric pole in village Karinga of Kotwali area on Saturday morning. Due to the accident, a wave of mourning ran in the village, while there was an uproar among the relatives. Bachchraj Kushwaha's 17-year-old daughter Archana, a Class 12 student of Maharishi Balika Vidyapeeth Inter College, was cleaning in front of the house around 8 am on Saturday. Meanwhile, the supporter of the electric pole in front of the house got electric shock. Unknowingly the student caught hold of the supporter, due to which she suffered serious burns. With a loud noise she fell unconscious on the spot. Hearing the sound, the relatives ran and took the student in critical condition to the Community Health Center (CHC) Baberu, where the doctors declared her dead. The family is completely devastated by the death of the student. The late student was the second among two sisters and one brother.
The student's father Bachchraj Kushwaha alleged that the electric pole often got electrocuted. He also complained to the electricity department several times in this regard, but no action was taken. The complaint was continuously ignored by the Electricity Department. If corrections had been made in time, the daughter's life could have been saved. On the other hand, SDO of Electricity Department Rasool Ahmed said that information has been received about the death of the student due to electric shock. The matter is serious, investigation is being conducted.
