An accused, Izmamul Alam, resident of Govindganj ward number 12 of Rajepur police station area of East Champaran district, who had helped Deepak Rai in the theft incident, was arrested by the police on Saturday after an encounter near Jagmalwa village of Thawe police station area.
He lived with his girlfriend in Buxar after the theft in the temple. His Bhojpur connection has also come to light. If police sources are to be believed, some operatives of Tar Katwa gang were arrested by the police in East Champaran district.

During this time, input was received from there that some criminals working with Tar Katwa gang, along with a youth from UP, had committed theft in Thawe temple.
After this, East Champaran SP Swarn Prabhat and Gopalganj SP Awadhesh Dixit collected all the inputs. After this the team left for Gopalganj for the raid.
After getting wind of the incident, Izmamul Alam went from Raniganj in Bhojpur to his girlfriend in Buxar. Girlfriend is a dancer.
He also came to know that the police had got the address of his girlfriend. After that he ran away and reached his maternal grandmother's house, resident of Sadauwakothi village of Sidhwalia police station area.
From there he reached Jagmalwa village of Thawe police station area. Police sources say that he had kept his share of jewelery hidden with someone there.
Meanwhile the police team also arrived. After which the accused got injured in the encounter between the police and the accused Izmamul.
Police have also recovered a country-made pistol from him. On his information, the police have taken the third accused into custody from Manjhagarh police station area and started interrogation.
Police is investigating the horoscope of the second accused arrested
After the arrest of Izmamul Alam, resident of Govindganj ward number 12 of Rajepur police station area of East Champaran district, in the theft case at Thawe temple, as soon as the police started the raid, it came to light that Izmamul was quite vicious.
Like Deepak Rai, he is also trying to dodge the police. In such a situation, along with his arrest, the police is investigating his horoscope by asking for criminal records from UP and East Champaran district.
Girlfriend said if he is guilty then he should be punished
After the theft in Izmamul Alam Thawe temple, the police took the girlfriend with whom he lived in Buxar into custody and interrogated him for about two hours.
During this time the girlfriend also helped the police. The girlfriend is from West Bengal. The girlfriend also said that if her boyfriend is guilty then he should be punished.
Took shelter in Bhojpurwa village after necklace was stolen
After stealing from the temple of Maa Bhavani in Bhojpurwa village of Nagar police station area, Deepak Rai left from there. Simultaneously, Izmamul Alam also left the temple and reached the house of one of his relatives in Bhojpurwa village.
