Ganga Expressway is among the major greenfield expressway projects. Its total length is approximately 594 km (Meerut to Prayagraj). Starts from Meerut and goes till Prayagraj. Now Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEDA) has prepared the alignment of the expressway route extension from Amroha to Haridwar, which falls on the route of Ganga Express. In the extension from Amroha to Haridwar, the expressway will pass through Bijnor. A consensus has been reached regarding this.

According to the alignment of construction of the first expressway, it was to be constructed on the left side of Ganga from Haridwar. But now the expressway will be built in the right direction. Due to the construction of expressway in the right direction from Haridwar, Vidur Kuti will also be connected to the expressway and the expressway will pass nearby. There was a demand for connecting the district with the Ganga Expressway for a long time in the district and various organizations had launched a continuous movement for two months. Apart from this, BKU Aranaitik had launched a campaign and sent about 1.25 lakh postcards to the Chief Minister demanding the removal of Ganga Expressway from the district. Even after going to Lucknow, the demand was raised several times before Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Farmers celebrated Bijnor: Farmers associated with the non-political Bharatiya Kisan Union fed each other sweets to celebrate the construction of the Ganga Expressway from Amroha to Haridwar via Bijnor. Under the leadership of union state vice president Atul Kumar, former chairperson's husband Shamshad Ansari and Danny Jatlan, farmers gathered at Shastri Chowk at 1 pm on Thursday. Here these farmers celebrated by beating drums and feeding each other sweets on the news of removal of Ganga Expressway from Bijnor.

On this occasion, state vice president of the union Atul Kumar said that earlier it had been decided to protest against the removal of Ganga Expressway from Muzaffarnagar. On the call of Digambar Singh, state president of the youth unit of the union, social and political organizations and the general public launched a campaign and sent about 2.5 lakh postcards to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath demanding the removal of Ganga Expressway from Bijnor. Apart from this, thousands of people had also tweeted on X.

He said that with the opening of Ganga Expressway from the district, transportation to Purvanchal and many other states will become easier. At the same time, after the completion of this Ganga Expressway, new industries will be established and the youth will get employment. Union city president Shubham, publicity minister Nadeem, Kulveer Singh, Mayank, Kapil, Devanand Bhuiyar, Rubal Naved etc. were among those who fed each other sweets.
