Jagran correspondent, Kanpur. A surprising case has come to light in Kanpur. Just a month after the marriage, the bride eloped with her married lover. The bride had come to her parents' home from her in-laws' house. Jewelery and cash were also taken from there.

In the Cantt police station area, a woman has filed a case against the father of two children of the area for luring away her newly married daughter. It is alleged that his daughter has taken away jewelery worth Rs 5 lakh along with cash from the house. The girl who ran away with her lover got married only a month ago. After marriage, she ran away with her lover as soon as she returned from her in-laws' house.

According to the complaint of the Cantt resident woman, she had married her daughter with great pomp on 22nd November. After marriage with her in-laws, her daughter had returned home from her in-laws. After this, late night of 15 December 25, she went away from home. Told that information has been received that the accused Shahbaz, the father of two children from the same locality, has seduced the daughter and taken her away somewhere with the intention of marrying her.

According to the victim's complaint, her daughter has taken away with her the cash of thirty thousand rupees kept in the house and jewelery worth around two to five lakh rupees. Due to which he is also worried about his daughter's safety. The woman alleges that when she reached the Cantt police station to complain, she was sent to the police post Gangaghat. After this he complained to the Police Commissioner. After which his case was registered.

Cantt police station in-charge Arvind Rai says that a case has been registered in the matter, currently the mobile phones of the accused and the girl are switched off, efforts are on to trace them.
